Kingston, Jamaica: With all eyes locked on the second staging of the Magnum sponsored Unruly Fest, Flyght formerly known as Bluugo, took to the stage in fine form, highlighting his growth since taking the 2018 Magnum King of Dancehall crown.
The Popcaan and friends concert staged in St. Thomas at Goodyear Oval, showcased major talents such as Sanchez, Bounty Killer, Stylo G, Capleton, Agent Sascoa and Protoje. Flyght shared that hard work was key to his arrival to the Unruly Fest stage.
“When you put in hard work you know things happen,” stated Flyght. “So this is just one of the benefits of hardwork. So we deh a unruly fest now which is like the ending of two year now since I won magnum; and unruly fest is also an event sponsored by Magnum. A whole heap ah work put in, so wi still deh here so and we ah progress to big and better things sameway.”
Flyght backed by a dancing trio delivered high energy performances of popular tracks Dr. Fix it, Who frighten’ Dem,Pot Cova, 10z, and Bruk weh to the delight of Unruly fans.
According to Telecia Lindo Johnson, J Wray & Nephew Limited Marketing Manager, Magnum and Dancehall are synonymous.
“Magnum has a special connection with dancehall,” said Lindo-Johnson. “We celebrate the culture on a whole through its music, the players, the dance, and the style. Seeing Flyght on the stage tonight is another showcase of Magnum and Dancehall’s over the past 20 years. Throughout 2020, we will continue to create and support positive avenues for the dancehall industry.
Magnum King, Flyght is scheduled to release new tracks in short order, including Click and Cut Dem Off.
