Kingston, Jamaica: Jahvillani is riding high on his 2019 successes; the fast-rising artiste who hails from the Parish of St. Ann is argued to be the breakout dancehall sensation of 2019, with five months left in the year.


Known for his hard hitting lyrics and appeal that Dancehall fans worldwide appreciate and long for, the 24-year-old act whose real name is Dujon Edwards has been blazing airwaves with hits such as Nuh Reason and Wile Side Government


Edwards is also being credited with the possible summer song of 2019, in his latest release Clarks Pon Foot.  The single pays homage to the British shoe brand Clarks Originals, which Jamaicans know and revere. The hit is quite similar in content type to Vybz Kartel’s cult classic Clarks which was released in 2010, with Clarks Pon Footadding a modern twist to showing appreciation to the footwear.


Edwards efforts have not gone unnoticed, as the official video for Clarks Pon Foot was reposted on Clarks Official’s Instagram page, and has received thousands of views and a plethora of positive comments; the brand has also contacted Edwards to show their appreciation.


The official video for the hit song was released on YouTube on June 24, 2019 and is on its way to hit the 1 million views mark, with over 780,000 views; it is also trending at number 11 in Jamaica. Jahvillani, is also set to continue his summer dominance by performing at Reggae Sumfest’s Festival Night One, on July 19, 2019; he will be one of the closing acts, along with other members of the trending dancehall crew, 6iix.
